In 2025, we had the opportunity to revisit and photograph an installation originally completed in 2012: eight cooling towers of our former HRFG model. A key factor behind their longevity is the FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyamide) casing, a material recognized for its exceptional resistance to corrosion. Unlike conventional materials that can deteriorate rapidly in saline environments, FRP provides long-term structural integrity and reliability.
These units are installed at the RIU Palace Cancún, located in Cancún, where high humidity, intense heat, and constant exposure to salt-laden air create extremely demanding operating conditions. Coastal climates are known for accelerating corrosion and material degradation, making long-term durability a true test of engineering quality.
Fourteen years later, these towers continue to operate efficiently, standing as a testament to robust design, high-quality materials, and the importance of building equipment prepared to withstand even the harshest environmental challenges.
